Great Sankey's drains have been in the ground longer than most of its residents.

Penketh sits low, between Warrington Road and the Mersey, and water is the local theme. Most of the housing is 1930s to 1960s semis with clay drains, plus older cottages towards the village. Why does my Penketh manhole stay full when it hasn't rained?
Because groundwater is getting in through a cracked or open-jointed pipe sitting below the water table. It is a structural defect and it will not clear. The camera finds the point of entry, and the report grades it so you know whether it needs lining now or watching.
Is the drain mine or United Utilities'?
In most cases the drains serving your property alone are your responsibility, up to the point where they meet the public sewer maintained by United Utilities. We locate that boundary as part of the survey so you understand precisely where your liability starts and ends.
How long does it take?

Do you dig anything up?
