Why does my Penketh manhole stay full when it hasn't rained?
Because groundwater is getting in through a cracked or open-jointed pipe sitting below the water table. It is a structural defect and it will not clear. The camera finds the point of entry, and the report grades it so you know whether it needs lining now or watching.
Is the drain mine or United Utilities'?
Most drains serving a single property — up to the point where they join the public sewer — are your responsibility. The public sewer is United Utilities'. We identify the boundary during the survey so you know exactly where your liability ends.
How long does it take?
The survey itself is usually about an hour for a typical Penketh semi or terrace. Allow 90 minutes for larger properties or multiple access points.
Do you dig anything up?
